You are not alone – and neither am I!

In addition to Spirit, I – Joyce S Kaye - regularly collaborate with my life partner and husband, Roger Wyer.

Rog and I work as a team, very often meeting prospective clients for a cup of java to get to know one another a bit and establish rapport. We’ll access your true business issue(s), and then we’ll brainstorm how we might collaborate with you to help you move forward toward better marketing and communication with your clients.

Rog majored in English in college, worked as an editor (it runs in his family), and to put it very simply, is a natural writer. Through our company BizWorks Studio, we self-published his first book, Choosing Joy at Work. It’s an inspired and inspirational book that draws on Rog’s personal life experiences as well as his adventures as a consultant to businesses and non-profit organizations – mostly in the areas of operations, systems, human resources, and continuous improvement. “Joyce loves working with people as much as she does creating through the computer. And, because she’s studied psychology and sociology and earned a master degree in social work, she has a better grasp of people than most business owners.

And, here are some tidbits from me about my eclectic business and educational background…

I have 30+ years’ business experience (I know – I don’t look that old!) including tenure at such companies as American Express and Amtrak in New York. I’ve worked in a wide variety of areas such as: operations, training, customer service, business planning and analysis, and database design.  For several years I was a part-time faculty member at Santa Fe Community College in New Mexico, providing computer and IT training in the credit, continuing education, and contract divisions. While there, I developed a reputation for training expertise and great rapport with the senior population.

My education is varied as well. I hold a BA in Philosophy and Sociology from York College, CUNY and completed graduate level business courses at Pace University. I have completed numerous computer software courses and am certified at the Master level as a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS). I also hold a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University in New York.

Oh, and by the way, I co-authored a book on Microsoft® Office Outlook 2003 published by Labyrinth Learning. A popular choice for schools and industry training programs,  as well as for individual step-by-step learning, it’s still available and still quite helpful in learning Outlook, no matter what version you have!

Between Rog and me, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience – and we are eager to share it with you!
